We are currently hiring for two positions:


  Out Patient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner will join the staff of BridgePoint Health and affiliate with St. Nicholas Hospital. BridgePoint Health is comprised of two Board Certified Adult Psychiatrists, one Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, three Clinical Psychologists and four Masters level Psychotherapists working closely together to provide comprehensive behavioral health care. An additional Board Certified Psychiatrist will be joining BridgePoint Health in the fall of 2008.

The main office of BridgePoint Health is located one block from the St. Nicholas Hospital campus. In late April 2006, BridgePoint Health moved into their new 9750 sq ft facility designed specifically for outpatient behavioral health and complementary health services, which includes a Masters Level Acupuncturist and Oriental Medicine Specialist. The facility in Sheboygan boasts 15 therapy rooms, two group rooms, 4 waiting areas and is handicap accessible throughout the three floor building. In addition to the main office in Sheboygan, BridgePoint Health has branch offices in nearby Plymouth and Chilton. The Nurse Practitioner who joins BridgePoint Health will also practice a total of one or more days per week at the branch offices which are within a 15 to 30 minute drive from Sheboygan.

BridgePoint Health practitioners are members of Physicians’ Health Network (PHN), and Independent Practice Association. Founded in 1986, PHN has grown to include 70 local primary and specialty care physicians and other allied health professionals. With services available in 33 locations in 10 communities, PHN provides a referral network for the BridgePoint Health professionals

The ARNP reports directly to the Outpatient Clinical Director and Adult Psychiatrists with additional accountabilities to the Director of Business Operations. The incumbent works collaboratively with all Behavioral and auxiliary staff of BridgePoint Health. In addition, the incumbent will work with physicians and staff of other agencies and systems. The ARNP will evaluate, treat, prescribe and collaborate in meeting the needs of patients.

This is a full time position with on-call duties on a rotating basis with the psychiatrists. A minimum of three years progressive experience in the Behavioral Health Nursing field is desirable. A minimum of a Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution and License with the Drug Enforcement Administration is required. Must be licensed in the state of Wisconsin as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.

  Coding and Billing Specialist – Advanced

This position is full or part-time and is available immediately

The specialist will join our team of professionals and become a member of the reimbursement team with primary responsibility of timely billing of insurance claims to insurance companies, and patients and other sources along with the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews medical record documentation to identify all services provided by physicians, NP and other care givers.
  • Assigns appropriate CPT-4 procedure code(s) and ICD-9 code(s) to accurately report the services provided to patients.
  • Assists with the submission of billing data and claims to the appropriate payers.
  • Obtains and submits copies of medical documentation with charges to support third-party payers.
  • Identifies services provided, but not adequately documented in the medical record. Advises supervisor and clinicians of deficiencies to support charge capture of all billing services.
  • Analyzes and resolves physician claim rejects and denials from the billing system or insurance carriers related to coding issues.
  • Assists with billing and documentation training in interactions with clinicians during normal working day and other routine training sessions.
  • Compiles monthly reports as requested by Supervisor
  • Other duties as requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of coding or clinical experience in a medical setting, behavioral health billing experience is a plus. Coding Certification with minimum of one year clinical experience.
  • Must have successfully completed Medical Terminology classes
  • Must have working knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding and modifier use
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer reimbursement policies and procedures
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL and WORD
  • Must be thorough, detailed oriented, dependable with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as frequent interaction with professional staff, patients, and coworkers in required.
  • Ability to resolve patient billing complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Willingness to maintain expertise to keep current with changes in procedure and diagnoses coding and third-party payer reimbursement policies through continuing education.
  • Required to attend coding seminars, meeting and keep abreast of changes in the profession.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under strict guidelines
  • Desire to work in a fast past environment and ability to keep composure at all times
